My name is Alexandra Astakhova. I was born in Moscow in 1985. I have been working since the age of 18. For 10 years I worked in the daily business newspaper VEDOMOSTI as a head of the photo department. In 2017 I decided to change my life and leave VEDOMOSTI.
   After that I work as a freelance photographer. I am also involved in several projects as a photoeditor (for example, magazine about wine culture, a technology portal and other small media). I cooperate with the publishing house AST (Corpus).  I have alredy done a book about Boris Berezovsky (by Petr Aven). And now I'm a photoeditor in the books by the famous TV journalist Leonid Parfenov - NAMEDNI.
   All this time I have been photographing in parallel. I shoot portraits in the studio, live reportage on the street and even online photosets, I shoot various reports for the media and charitable foundations, and I do not give up corporate photography, photography of private events, concerts, acting portfolios and even weddings. I love and know how to shoot portraits of people, because they are all interesting to me.
